1. When is LIUNA Local 183 Family Day 2010?

LIUNA Local 183’s Family Day will be on Saturday September 11, 2010.

2. Where is Family Day going to be held this year?

Family Day will be at Canada’s Wonderland.

3. Why is Family Day being held at Canada’s Wonderland this year?

Family Day is being held at Canada’s Wonderland, in order to satisfy the overwhelming demand by the Local 183 Membership.

The Park has more attractions and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

4. When can I pick up my Family Day Tickets?

Members can start to pick up tickets on June 21, 2010.

5. When is the deadline to pick up my tickets?

Tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis, and will be available from Monday June 21, 2010 to Friday September 10, 2010.

6. Where do Members pick up the tickets?

Tickets will be available at all Local 183 offices.

Simcoe County: 62 Commerce Park Drive, Unit# D&E, Barrie ON
Cobourg: 560 Dodge Street, Cobourg ON
Toronto: 1263 Wilson Avenue, Toronto, ON

During the following times:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm,
Wednesday: 8:30am – 9:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm

7. I have to work, and I cannot pick up my tickets.

For your convenience, the Office will be open on Wednesday evenings and on Saturday mornings to allow all members an opportunity to pick up their tickets.

 


8. Can I send someone else to pick up my tickets for me?

Members are required to show their PICTURE ID when picking up tickets. Unfortunately, no one else can pick up tickets for you.


9. Why is Family Day on September 11, 2010?

Many of our Members go away during the summer on holidays. In order to have as many of our Members participate, we have moved the date to later in the summer.

Canada’s Wonderland, closes the doors to all outside visitors, and is reserved only for the Members of LIUNA Local 183.

10. Who decided on the date for Family Day?

The date for Family Day was decided by the Executive Board of Local 183 and the Canada’s Wonderland Team

11. I did not receive any food vouchers

Local 183 will not be providing any food vouchers this year. You are welcome to purchase food from any of the Vendors at Canada’s Wonderland, or bring your own picnic lunch. There is a picnic area outside of the Park, which you are welcome to use.

12. Can I use these Tickets for the whole season at Canada’s Wonderland?

No, the ticket(s) are only valid for LIUNA Local 183 Family Day on Saturday September 11, 2010.

13. Can I give my ticket(s) to someone else?

No, ticket(s) are for Local 183 Members in good standing and their Dependents.

14. Can I bring my whole family (grandchildren, nieces etc)?

Unfortunately, only your eligible Dependents are allowed to attend Local 183 Family Day with you on Saturday September 11, 2010.

15. I want to bring my friends; can I buy extra ticket(s)?

No, we expect that Members and their families will utilize all available tickets; as we near September 11, 2010, we will assess the situation.

16. Do you require a Ticket for a Child less than 3 years of age?

No. Children less than 3 years of age are admitted free, but must be accompanied by a Member of Local 183.

Children 3 years and older require a ticket for admission to Canada’s Wonderland.

 

17. I have lost my ticket(s); can I get new tickets(s)?

Your ticket(s) are just as valuable as cash. If you lose your ticket(s), we will put your name on a waiting list. On September 10, 2010, if there are any ticket(s) remaining, we will distribute them to the Members based on the order in which the loss was reported.


18. Is Parking included with the tickets?

No. Parking is available at Canada’s Wonderland at a minimum cost of $10.00.

19. Can I use my Season Pass on this day?

No. Season Passes will not be accepted for admission, on September 11, 2010.

Only Local 183 Members and their Families with Local 183 issued tickets will be admitted through the gates.
