“Safety: A Two Way Street” Campaign Launches This Month 4/7/2011 11:07:12 AM
Safety is a huge issue for all of us, especially now as we gear up for another construction season. That’s why we’re urging you to support the online safety campaign called “Safety: A Two Way Street,” by going online.
LIUNA local 183 and the Ontario Road Builders’ Association have teamed up to launch the campaign and we’re hoping you, your families and friends, will join by simply getting online and “liking” the campaign.
We also urge you to post a few lines on Facebook about why it’s so important for drivers to pay attention and slow down. Share your experience, photos of you in a hard hat, photos with your family, and your story. It’s all about putting a human face on this important safety issue.
Safety: A Two Way Street campaign will officially launch later this month. The goal is to reduce road worker injuries and fatalities by raising awareness about the importance of drivers slowing down through road construction zones.
